Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
An FSEOG is a grant from the federal government for undergraduate, first degree seeking students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students who receive Federal Pell Grant.
An FSEOG does not have to be paid back. Students at each school are awarded based on the availability of funds at that particular school. Since funds are limited, there is no guarantee that every eligible student will be able to receive an FSEOG.

$200 - $1700
FSEOG Application Procedures:
Complete the 2007-2008 FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA for awards for Fall 2007, Spring 2008, Summer 2008- Applications must be submitted between January 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.
Complete the 2008-2009 FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA for awards for Fall 2008, Spring 2009, Summer 2009- Applications must be submitted between January 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.
Students are awarded based on the availability of funds.
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
The Academic Competitiveness Grant is a grant from the federal government for undergraduate, first degree seeking students, who have demonstrated that they have taken rigorous classes in hgh school.
To receive an ACG, a student must:
- Be a U.S. citizen;
- Be Federal Pell Grant eligible;
- Be enrolled full-time in a degree program;
- Be enrolled in the first or second academic year of your program of study at a two-year or four-year degree-granting institution;
- Have completed a rigorous high school program of study (after January 1, 2006, if a first-year student, and after January 1, 2005, if a second-year student);
- Not have been previously enrolled in an undergraduate program (if you are a first-year student); and
- Have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the first academic year (if you are a second-year student).
ACG Award amounts:
First year: $750 maximum
Second year: $1300 maximum

Complete the 2007-2008 FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA for awards for Fall 2007, Spring 2008, Summer 2008- Applications must be submitted between January 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.
Complete the 2008-2009 FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA for awards for Fall 2008, Spring 2009, Summer 2009- Applications must be submitted between January 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.

State
Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)
This is a need-based grant program for Florida residents, first degree seeking undergraduate students attending eligible public Florida institutions. Recipients must be U.S. citizens, meet Florida residency requirements for state student aid, be enrolled in a degree program, and be elibigle for the federal Pell greant. Awards amounts are determined by the Florida Legislature, and generally range between $200 to $1,672 as funds and need permit.
FSAG Application Procedures:
FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA - Applications must be submitted each year. Students who received FSAG in the prior year must meet renewal criteria (2.0 G.P.A. at the end of Spring term for prior year, and minimum number of completed hours for term/amount awarded).
FSAG is a need based grant and funds may be limited. Early completion of the FAFSA may be a consideration for receipt of award.
Institutional
FSU Grant (FSUG)
This grant is from university funds to degree seeking Florida State University undergraduate and graduate students who meet university need guidelines. Awards may range from $200 to $1,700 per academic year. Students are awarded based on the availability of funds.

2006-2007 FAFSA / Renewal FAFSA - Applications must be submitted between January 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007.
